Green Roofs

Green roofs generally use sedum or other alpines to provide a natural finish to a roof. The plants themselves are very hardy, and can withstand great ranges of temperature and weather. During the spring and summer they will flower and attract many insects especially bees and butterflies.

Benefits of a green roof.

Green roofs have many benefits; as well as increasing biodiversity, they greatly reduce storm water run off and increase the thermal and sound insulation properties of the roof. A green roof, like any plant also absorbs carbon dioxide, so having a green roof can help you reduce your carbon footprint as well as absorbing pollutants from the air.
