Is a green roof maintenance free? - No,
although a green roof is a low maintenance product, like any other plant life, green roofs need to be checked periodically for things such as weeds and the general health of the plants. We provide maintenance solutions as part of our service. Do I have to water my green roof? - Yes, again, a green roof is a living object and as such needs water, albeit only really in times of drought. The majority of the time the plants, especially with a sedum roof, will
absorb enough water from the atmosphere and rainfall to survive. In some situations and locations, irrigation is perfectly suited to green roofs to guarantee success and reduce the maintenance required. Again we can provide irrigation as part
of our service. Who should maintain my roof? - We provide a full maintenance program as part of our service. Are green roofs necessarily green in colour? - No, although most of the time a green roof will
be green, at other times of the year, it can appear from red through to purple. This can be due to many different factors from what type of plant is being used on the roof, to the temperature, to what time of year it is. The term
'green roof' refers to a roof that is ecologically friendly not necessarily the colour of it!
