Aftercare and Maintenance


Green roofs, like all living things, need a little looking after to get the best out of them, and keep them looking great for years to come.


Although green roofs are very hardy by nature, as they are exposed to the elements the need for maintenance will occur.


Green roofs require little maintenance, generally two visits a year will keep the roof looking in great shape and isn’t too expensive either - the better the roof is looked after to begin with, the less work needs to be done in the long term.


The type of maintenance varies with each type of roof, as different species of plant require different care regimes, for example wildflower and meadow roofs are maintained in a totally different way to sedum roofs.
